Saturday Morning Cartoons

Well today was fun.

Woke up. At like 11am. I missed all my Saturday morning cartoons. But on the flip side, I went to Dave and Busters...awesome.

So I go inside. Shell out 20 bucks for 100 chips. (Hard parting with Mr. Jackson ). I then proceed to the Spin-and-Win game, a ginormous wheel-of-fortune type game where you have to stop the light on the 1000 ticket jackpot. Here I go. I scanned the card for one gameplay.

Light spins around, and around, and around. I stop it right next to the 1000! :( No good.

Try again...

Light spins around, and around, and around. THIS TIME I STOPPED RIGHT ON THE 1000 JACKPOT!!! woo!

There I am, piling up the thousand tickets being doled out to me. Woohoo!

I therefore proceeded to play other games until I ran out of chips...bummer. In all, I got about 1400 tickets, so I decided to treat myself to the D&B store... which has nothing good for the amount of chips I have. I honestly didn't feel like redeeming them for a teddy bear...not cool.

So instead, I got a Miniature USB cooling fan...no joke. Its a little personal fan powered by the USB port on your computer that can keep you cool (duh). Practical little device.

Then later about an hour ago, I went to Golden Coral with my mom and mi amigo Jon. I had some mini-burgers on a plate with tortilla chips. Ultimate display of diplomacy. AMERICAN mini-burgers next to MEXICAN tortilla chips...

I have a dream... that one day... little mini-burgers will be able to hold hands with little tortilla chips, in peace.

Amen.

Well that's how today went.

Have a good night and thanks for reading.

On another note, I do suppose in the future I'll post some photos that I take on here. I haven't been taking photos as I should have. Its just I've been saving up for a sweet laptop (MacBook Pro!) and all my money has been going to it, so I haven't bought any lenses for it.

Well, once again, thanks for reading. Off I go.

And remember, make sure you watch your Saturday morning cartoons.

Being Grateful.

So I'm tryin' out this new blogspot thing. See if its something I can get in to.

Well, things have been going on lately to make me want to talk about being grateful and thankful for all the things we have.

First of all, last summer, my grandfather passed away. 77 and a great life lived, God decided to call him home.

Life is but a vapor...

Recently, two people I know indirectly are affected by some kind of cancer. A girl from my church named Rebecca has been found to have a large mass in her head I think. Even though I don not know her, I still pray for her because she is my sister in the family of God (click here for more info on Rebecca). A girl from my school named Jo has been recently diagnosed with breast cancer, and is beginning treatment last I heard (Facebook link to the Group for her).

Events like those above remind me to be thankful for all that God has given me. He's blessed me with friends, my church, my job, my mom, my life, my school, everything. God is so awesome that he blesses us with these things. We should thank Him for all He's given us, the Provider of us all.

The Message bible paraphrases Matthew 6:25-26 nicely

"If you decide for God, living a life of God-worship, it follows that you don't fuss about what's on the table at mealtimes or whether the clothes in your closet are in fashion. There is far more to your life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body. Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God. And you count far more to him than birds."

And you count far more to him than birds... Think about it... GOD EVEN PROVIDES FOR THE BIRDS... what makes us think He doesn't notice us?

So I ask you to just remember what you should be thankful for. Perhaps make a list.

That's how I see it.

Thank you God for... Jesus, mom, friends, school, food, cars, clothes, church, life, job.........
